The Department of Radiology at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting for one full-time Abdominal Imaging Radiologist at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (commensurate with experience and credentials) in the Professor of Clinical “X” or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series.
Criteria for the Professor of Clinical “X” Series: The incumbent will be expected to conduct substantial research; provide patient care; teach fellows, residents, and medical students; and perform public and University service. Excellent teaching is essential criteria for appointment in this series.
Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series: The incumbent will be expected to teach fellows, residents, and medical students; provide patient care; contribute to scholarly activities; and provide public and University service.
The Abdominal Imaging Division currently has 11 faculty, and 3 fellows. The candidate will be involved in clinical service activities that include Abdominal CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and plain films. Participation in the weekend and on-call schedule of the Abdominal Division is expected.
Some division members also perform CT and US guided abdominal interventional procedures, and some participate in complex 2nd and 3rd trimester obstetric ultrasound.
Scholarly or creative activity is required. Depending on the level of interest in performing research, the successful candidate may join our clinician/educator track or our clinician/research track with protected administration time incorporated into each track.

MD or DO degree
Fellowship trained or undergoing training in Abdominal Imaging
Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of California
Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.
Proficiency in all aspects of Abdominal Imaging including MR, CT, ultrasound and fluoroscopic studies is required.
Proficiency in abdominal interventional procedures is preferred.
