Pastry Chef Job Summary:

Le Parfait is an authentic concept coming freshly from France to San Diego. Le Parfait is seeking a passionate, punctual, meticulous, organized and perfectionist Executive Pastry Sous Chef with a strong work ethic. The main responsibilities are:

  • To assist the Executive Pastry Chef in direction and management of the kitchen lab operations and associates, assuring the proper preparation creation and execution of all desserts and other baked goods and will assist in overseeing the overall running of the pastry kitchen, cleanliness and organization.
  • Must be able to perform the duties of the Executive Pastry Chef in their absence.


$72,000/year + (includes bonus, and health insurance)

2 weeks of paid vacations

2 consecutive days of rest per week

Essential duties and responsibilities includes:

  • Responsible for all food production including catering function and other outlets with Executive Chef
  • Assist in Developing new menus, food purchase specification, food cost and recipes
  • In charge of ordering food supply and packaging for the company
  • Maintain a structured, organized and cleaned lab with Executive Chef
  • Participate in controlling highest professional food quality and sanitation standard
  • Manage the production inventory with Executive Chef
  • Interview, develop, train and keep a professional work force
  • Participate in establishing controls to minimize food and supply waste and theft


  • 3-5+ years of experience in Patisserie or Boulangerie fine
  • Minimum of 3 years of previous supervisory experience
  • Degree in Culinary Art with Emphasis in Pastry
  • English Fluent
  • Professional social media presence
