Full Job Description

WAIT STAFF JOB DESCRIPTION The wait staff position reports to the management staff • Must be 18 years of age if serving alcoholic beverages. • Physically able to perform functions of a wait staff position Bending Lifting Stretching Walking up to 8 hours • Willing to train 5 shifts at minimum pay, possibly one kitchen shift and one host shift • Be familiar with the set up and lay out of the restaurant • Greet and thank customers • Understand the seating procedure • Understand phone policies and procedures • Be competent with taking a to go order from start to finish • Physically able to buss a table with speed and efficiency • Understand and implement salad bar maintenance, set up and break down • Ability to handle his/her own cash drawer (amount in your apron not the main cash drawer). • Able to give fast, friendly, and accurate service to all guests • Understands the lay out of the menu and procedure for ordering a menu item • Understands how to take and order and read a ticket • Able to work as a team with other employees, such as helping buss, carry pizzas, do dish etc. • Willing and able to complete all side work/cleaning procedures required by management • Willing to comply with laws concerning the sale of alcoholic beverages • Willing to follow all health code and safety procedures • Willing to follow all management policies and procedures • Possess reliable transportation • Willing to work evenings, holidays and weekends • Must not have any diseases that can be transmitted through food • Must be able to get to work on time.
