BHW Marketing Manager Integrator

This is a new role that will support the expansion of BHW sales, marketing, and customer service. You will report directly to the owner and founder. You are a problem-solver and will play a role as a general manager. You will need to wear a variety of hats.

Martellotto Inc. is a vertically integrated wine company. Unique in the wine business, we operate three divisions.

Martellotto Winery is an award-winning winery producing 90+ rated wines from Santa Barbara and the Central Coast, CA.

One Vine Wines is a B2B importer and exporter of fine wines from around the world. One Vine specializes in organic, biodynamic, and 90+ rated wines from artisanal producers. One Vine Wines is a direct distributor of a portfolio of wines in CA. A growing business includes the sale of liquor and closeout wines.

Bighammerwines.com is a direct to consumer online website that earned recognition from Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing private companies in 2018 and 2019.

All three brands are heavily invested in growing the online communities of existing and potential customers of the brands via digital marketing, text marketing, and e-commerce sales.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a well-organized, meticulous, and detail-oriented person to join our team and help organize and manage a variety of projects.

You will wear many hats. At a high level, you’ll oversee the execution and follow-up of projects within every area of the business, as well as new business endeavors. You’ll grow and scale ROI on a variety of projects, and manage the execution of details. In addition, you’ll play an important role managing numerous marketing contractors and engaging clients and potential clients on the phone, in person, via mail, and across numerous social platforms on a daily basis.

More specifically, here are some (but certainly not all) of the responsibilities for this position:

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage outbound email marketing, ensure quality, on-brand content and copywriting
  • Overall brand management across platforms, website, and social media
  • Research solutions for new tools, apps, and hacks
  • Help the company be more efficient and improve ROI with ad spend
  • Be accountable for online community management across several platforms and for different websites
  • Document all systems and processes (SOP’s) to implement and manage change
  • Team management: manage our team of developers, graphic designers, and marketing team

Customer Experience

  • You’ll constantly be asking yourself, “how can this be better for our customers?”
  • You’ll make recommendations for ways to improve the customer experience, and you’ll implement many of them.
  • You’ll solve issues that arise for customers as needed.
  • You’ll pick up the phone and talk to customers. You’ll listen to them and let them know you care. You’ll laugh with them. You’ll cry with them. They will love you, and you them.
  • You’ll respond to customers who comment about us on social media.
  • You’ll keep the rest of the team informed about the general mood and feedback from customers.

Digital Marketing & Technical Know How

  • Copywriting experience required
  • Shopify & Klaviyo ecommerce experience required
  • Manage and engage marketing contractors
  • Know how to conduct A/B testing
  • Review Copy and Content before it is distributed
  • Stay up to date on new tools and manage them effectively
  • We currently use the following DM assets and you will need to be familiar with them all: Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, FB Ads, Press Releases, Shopify Apps store, GMB, YT, Linkedin, IG, Twitter, Mailchimp, Google Sheets/Drive
  • Experience with Domain reputation management, DMARC, MX records, DNS, and .txt records


  • You must have experience with retention strategies.
  • You will analyze our retention data, data studio, and implement tests for improving retention. Report to the team on success,

Partnerships & Media Buying

  • Manage Ambassador & Affiliate program (landing pages)
  • You’ll identify and approach potential marketing partners
  • You’ll create the strategies and execute our paid media campaigns.
  • You’ll work with our creative team to design effective ads.
  • You’ll use paid advertising to help us not only grow the business but also to better

understand our core customers.

Email Marketing

  • You’ll implement strategies to grow our email list.
  • You’ll help plan, design, and schedule our email promotions and newsletters.
  • You’ll coordinate with the designers and copywriters to craft each promo email.
  • Optimize email campaigns.
  • Review and publish any and all email campaigns.

Social Media

  • You’ll build our online social media presence and community, specifically grow FB groups and IG followers.
  • You’ll create, edit, and publish daily social content.
  • You’ll curate user content, engage with followers, respond to comments, and encourage.

brand interaction.

  • You’ll manage all reporting and analytics for each of our social channels.
  • You’ll work closely with graphics designer and marketing assistant to create “WOW!” content.


  • A/B testing on the website.
  • You’ll help improve our website conversion rates.
  • You’ll be obsessed with data! You’ll collect our key growth metrics and make decisions from those.
  • You’ll review our entire funnel (from awareness to retention to referral) for areas to improve.

Affiliate Marketing

  • You’ll cultivate affiliate partnerships.
  • You’ll build our affiliate landing pages.
  • You’ll support our affiliates with any assets/resources they need to successfully promote us.


  • You’ll turn the events we sponsor into content for all our platforms.
  • You’ll drive video development at events.
  • You’ll represent the brands at wine events, tastings, and dinners. As a result, some nights

Martellotto.com – winery in Santa Barbara that produces wine and sells to wholesale clients, direct to consumers online and through the wine club, and to out of state distributors.

OneVinewines.com – an importer and distributor of fine wines that sells B2B in CA and to some distributors in other states, mostly via daily email promotions.

Bighammerwines.com – an online wine retail store that sells DTC fine and rare wines and promotes daily email offers.

Casebycasewine.com – a new website offering lower priced wines by the case.
