Full Job Description

Pomeroy is hiring for servers who have open availability as we prepare to launch our brunch service!

From Ballyhoo Hospitality, Pomeroy, loosely translated by the French to mean “The King’s Apple,” is a neighborhood bistro for great friends and fine foods in the charming heart of Winnetka. Inspired by the Parisian greats, the restaurant is comfortable and elegant, bringing accessible French-inspired fare to the North Shore.

Candidate must have:

  • Positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate with a team
  • Desire to engage with guests
  • Reliable transportation to Winnetka
  • Weekend availability and early hours – as early as 7:30am
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Understand and perform job duties to the expectations of Ballyhoo and the Restaurant Service, Food, Beverage and Wine manuals.
  • Always maintain a positive, and team-oriented demeanor
  • Perform all side work applicable to assigned station.
  • Participate in Pre-Shift meetings and learn new menu items.
  • Welcome all guests and ensure guests receive responsive, professional and gracious service at all times.
  • Describes features as needed, including menu changes and daily additions.
  • Assisting the kitchen in expediting the service process in order to maintain the flow of service throughout the dining room.
  • Answer any questions about the menu, specific food items, the wine list or any other inquiries the guest may have.
  • Liaise with support staff to ensure communication at all times about the wants and needs of guests.
  • Oversees table maintenance, coordinates service at the table with fellow team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $7.20 per hour
